Judy Phipps with sculpture

Judy was born and raised in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and was lucky enough to grow up in environs where people were totally what they appeared to be. The Oregon fishermen, the Washington loggers, these were her family, filled with laughter, warmth and well being. While living in Alaska several years, the elderly pioneers and Eskimos became her friends, genuine, loving, with no pretenses. Still, to this day, that is what she seeks out in life, in friendships or in her studio where this
authenticity radiates through all of her artwork..
